The Cisco Catalyst 9500 Series Switches are designed to support dual power supplies in a 1+1 redundancy configuration, with options for either AC or DC input. Each switch comes with a single power supply by default, while the second unit can be added during the initial purchase or installed later as needed. When only one power supply is in use, it must be installed in bay #1.
